COMELEC is now busy with the preparation of the 2010 elections, politicians are also busy with their coming propaganda/campaign in order to win the elections, the voters are also busy learning who will be the best candidate to win and lead this country for the next 6 years. I belong to the voters group, I wonder why many are interested to run and become president, to be president is power, but the power comes the great responsibility. I have had that experience of leading a small group of church goers, being the chapel leader, as a leader I have that great responsibility to make the fiesta celebration or any chapel activity to be a successful one, to show to the people that we are here to serve. I realized that to be a good leader must be good follower, you listen. Leading a group like that of a small chapel and a big country, i beleived is the same, you deal with people, you deal with leaders also. you must have visions, you have that direction for the common good. We hope to have that vision and and direction with action for the good of this country, This is my country, my country Philippines. We'll pray for the people in the COMELEC so that GOD guide them well in the conduct of this coming elections. Amen. . . .

Since the first election that i was able to vote in the late 1970's, i observed that philippine politics onwards keeps on changing, not only the election code but also political party's. I don't know why, i believed, it is because filipinos are very dynamic, and changeable, that attitude of changing partners. Forget the political party, members are non-winnable, find some one from other parties who are better to be my partner, our politicians, why not stick to one, why not to die-hard on his party. This is our style Filipinos. not united? Why we cannot have that two party system. No, our group is more superior, we have the money, the machinery, and we are better, We boast of our capabilities, I hope the future change . . . We must first change ourselves. . . sana. . . this coming election, forget personal interests and think of service. . for our children and children's children.

On August 1, 2009 at 3:18 am, the then President of the Philippines, Madam Cory Aquino met her creator, They call her an "icon of democracy". I believed she is now beside the Lord Jesus, She is a good person. Every good person has a reserve place in heaven. I saw her bravery during the campaign in l986. How she braved the rain, the heat of the sun and the threat to her life when she made visits in the provinces. The country that time was in quandary. I attended in one of her campaign rallies for the presidential election. I was standing on top of the concrete bench I saw the crowd moving like tidal waves eager to see her, I did not move so as not to be stepped upon by the crowd, they shouted Cory, Cory, Cory, I too shouted, waving the yellow banner, I saw madam Cory at the stage waving her hands to the people, after a while the situation calm down. She started her speeches about the Martial rule, and many more and what had happened to our country, she was wearing yellow T-shirt at that time. The Cory magic was there, the place is filled with joy and happiness, I was 28 years old then. I can see how Madam Cory being loved by the people of Davao City, she won the elections here, the hardship and pain she went just to restore freedom. Then, our freedom is restored. To Madam Cory, thank you very much, I can never forget.

Assumption to Office of New Supervising Auditors

This morning I witnessed the assumption to office of our Supervising Auditor in COMVAL Province in the person of Madam Dina Novelero, State Auditor V, by virtue of an Office Order issued by the Chairman of the Commission on Audit(www.coa.gov.ph). The Provincial Government of COMVAL warmly welcome her. She was introduced by no other than our Regional Director Rasol L. Mitmug, and witnessed by the Auditors of COMVAL and capitol employees and from the Regional Office. After some chikachika, the group proceeded to other offices of the capitol and ended-up with a dinner at the new Office of the Provincial Auditor. Fruits like durian, lansones, etc. and dinner were served It was fun and enjoyable with our fellow auditors exchanging pleasantries/jokes, etc. We were excited to hear some updates regarding the reshuffling, but there was none yet, except for some whispered statusquo. but I am pretty sure of movements of Auditors, considering the reinstitution of pre-audit comes August 1.

Attending seminar/orientation on pre-audit

Last July 2, 2009 was the orientation seminar on pre-audit at the COA Regional Office No. XI with people from Central Office as the Key Speakers. It was a successful and interesting subject/undertaking considering the subject COA Circular No. 2009-002 and its amendments, (http://www.coa.gov.ph/) the restoration of pre-audit of transactions before payment is made, on a selective basis . It was no other than Sir Jimmy, Asst. Com. who delivered/impart his expertise on the subject, there was no untoward or violent reactions during the open forum. It seems that everybody was smiling til the end of the session. However, I also observed that some are lonely and felt stress because of the impending reshuffling of Auditors, they kept on thinking of their future assignments. We were expecting some kind of big announcements, but there was little. Movement of Auditors has been the subject of talks on various COA corners since the early months of 2009. There are rumors that Office Orders will be released very soon. They said, pre-audit will take effect next month. Well, we"ll just wait and see what comes first, let us do our job well as expected. There is no backing-out now. Do you the title of these songlines ... Hapiness is what I long for, loneliness is why i cried. . . When somebody leaves you. . .

Tomorrow, i may have that chance of going back to one of the most beautiful place in Compostela Valley, the Municipality of Maragusan, a small town located in easternside of the Province, where hot and cold springs like the Aguacan Resort, and the Tagbibinta falls are found. The Municipality is more or less 50 kilometers from the Provincial Capitol in Nabunturan. There is where you can find the Maragusan National High School, a government school that is conducive to learning and have made many professionals. People in Maragusan are peace-loving, God fearing, and Hardworking. At present, the people are engaged in planting bananas for export, as one of the primary produce and source of income. Please come and visit Maragusan, in Compostela Valley, I like the place.. . am sure you"ll like it too. thank you. .

The otherday I wrote regarding my being hospitlized and undergone operation due to Lipoma below my ear or near my nick, that was an experienced for the first time that can"t be taken for granted. Me, being a lowly employee is being tied to some kind of cash strap or financially imbalanced needing some extra cash for unexpected events, aware of the present financial economic condition, going to hospital is the most unfortunate event in our daily undertakings, most tiring, time consuming and money exhausting. I am also a member of a employees cooperative that gives also consolidated loans, these loans help a lot during my hospitalization. First time hospitalized

Pardon for not writing you for quite sometime, it is because i was hospitalized I had a lipoma removed from my nick. It was quite an experience, it was my first time. Sometime in 1996, I observed that a thing is growing in my nick below my ear, it was a small one, I didn"t bother to have it checked by the doctor because as if it was only a pimple , then i forgot about it. Lately, my friends had observed the "bukol" which I used to be covered by my collar. It was not really painful, but nahihiya na po ako dahil doon sa bukol. Ito ay lumalaki ng lumaki. That "bukol" made me shy of myself, I dont like to be with my friends, until my boss had observed my behaviour, I cannot do otherwise but to tell my boss about the situation the "bukol on my nick". She advised me to have that bukol removed or to undergo operation "Magpa-opera" Ako po ay takot sa dugo at karayum at sa operation, yon ang dahilan na ayaw kong magpaospital. But they convinced me to have it removed. So I gave-up, On May 12, I decided t0 go the doctor I had that bukol removed. On the night of May 11, I was advised not to take anything, food and water until the operation is finished. Early in the morning of 12th of May, I and my wife went to the Hospital. Davao Medical Center in Davao City. The doctor had already arranged for the operation, after some applications of hospital procedures, as early as 8 in the morning, the bukol was removed. The operation was very successful, it didnt take 3 hours and after that I was told to go home. Thanks to my doctor- Dr. Walter Batucan, now am recuperating and ok na. Praise the Lord. Am back to work again after a leave of absence. Thank you also to my boss, Madam Lyds for understanding me. thank you to all the prayers of my officemates.

Miss you for quite sometime, not being able to write in this blog. Let me continue my story about my travel riding habal-habal. The last time i wrote was we reached our destination at Pongpong ES, we stayed for the night, after we had inspected the school building, there was that enjoyment with the school officials and the barangay officials. They prepared roasted native chicken, sinabaw and adobo, how nice eating with the people in the barangays with on the "lamparilla" small gas lamp used to light our food and us. After eating we had some chikachika with the school officials, and the people there, they spoke to us there plans for their barangay. One of them, offered to donate a portion of their lot for school site for high school, which we advised them to make it past. We talked also about peace and order in their place and they assured the team of our safety. We were able to consumed 3 Junior Lapad. Being tired of walking we easily fall asleep, me not being able to dry may hair. That was a very cold night considering the forest cover near the place. The following morning, I woke-up early and took pictures of the school building and the surroundings, talk to the people residing there, inquire from them regarding the building and they said it was OK. After breakfast of the same food, chicken adobo, we packed some rice and adobo for our lunch. At arround 7:00am we again started walking back to New Bataan eager to reach back home, passing thru the same terrain, climbing mountains ans slopes. While walking along the grassy path, we meet some barangay officials of another barangay, they were bringing "surit-surit" a single shot gun, they said for "baboy ihalas" wild bore. We did just continue walking, taking to each other, making jokes, etc. at around 4 pm we reach our distination the 2nd camarin. Again the "Habal-habal was waiting for us to fetch us to the poblacion. That was tiring experience but enjoyable.

The otherday, I posted on this blog about my experience traveling in the hinterlands without ride, except habal-habal.
About noon we reached the 2nd camarin, we rested for a while and ate out baon of bulad, adobo manok, and rice wrapped in banana leaves. In that place there is that "tubod/busay" free flowing water from side of the moutain, that was our source of drinking water. After 20 minutes, we then continued to walk until we reached the "bangin or pang-pang" the bangin was casued by landslide due to continous rain, very "Danglog" slippery. We cant do otherwise but to climb and crawl that bangin, more or less 50 meters high around 80 degrees, very stiff. It was easy then to climb, by just holding onto the rocks on the side of the bangin. Reaching the top of the bangin is quite breathlosing action. Then we walk again going down, that was the difficult part of walking, because you have to hold your muscles, might get "Bicog" we again walk for almost 3 hours under the heat of the sun then, we reached the "Sapa" small river and crossed that river till we reach Barabat Elem School. That was almost 4:00pm. We rested for a while, took some pictures, chikachika with some of the residents, they were asking what were the purpose of our going there. People were friendly and happy looking. After 10 minutes of rest we then proceeded to our distination. We crossed "Basakan" rice fields, "Maisan" corn fields. Rain started to fall, for almost an hour we reached the "Suba" PongPong river. The river started to rise, we hurriedly cross, the water was waist deep and strong, I almost carried by the current, combination of hot and cold in our body made us weak. After crossing the river, we walk again for around 6:00pm, we reached Pongpong ES. I shouted "Praise the Lord". That was dark already. We were met by barangay officials and the residents there happily. . . . to be continued..

No ride except "habal-habal"

Please allow me to share with you my experience, regarding work assignments in rural areas. I was assigned to conduct inspection on the construction of a school building in Pongpong ES, a remote barangay ES wherein there is no other means of transportation to reach the place except riding the "Habal-habal"and then by walking. Habal-habal is the name used on single motorcycle loaded with 4 or 5 passengers. We were a team composed of the Supply Officer, an Engineer and me. Were guided by the teacher assigned in the area. We rode the Habal-habal for an hour, but before reaching the end of the road we met an accident, the habal-habal stumble, unluckily our companions leg was burn-"Paso" it was hit by the "tambutso" of the motor. So proceeded by walking till we reach the end of the road. they called it camarin I. We had to stop to check the condition of our companion. He decided not to go with us anymore he cant walk due to the paso and I said OK. My companions were asking me, if we are going to continue, I said Yes. We asked the people there the distance that we are going to walk, they said walking for 3 hours, well reach our destination. The time is almost 6:00am, so we started climbing the mountainside uphill. We walk and walk, up and down the mountains, under the cover of trees, we were warned of the "Linta" we met natives or lumad in the area, they are very familiar with the place. Because of the upclimb, I almost lost my breath, so we had to rest once in a while. We forgot the time that it was already 12:00nn. We stop in a hut a "Kubo" and ate our baon. we are still halfway. . . Because of the "Pagod" I did not realized that I was bitten already by linta.. . .

mass layoff

Sorry again for not writing for quite sometime due to my busy schedule. Now, I cant help but write my ideas and feeling regarding the impending mass layoff of stateworkers affected by this rationallization plan. Many are having mass actions against that plan, yes it is very true many will be dislocated, or loss jobs, when many loss their jobs, ultimately will loss food to eat at the table, and maybe die of hunger, children cant go to school. That is the negative side or effect of lossing one's work, but let us think of the positive side. If one lost his job, he/she can have more time with his/her family, start with the family business, start cultivating backyards/farm, planting rootcrops, banana, etc. Actually having a business is better than working in the government , receiving 6 dollars a day. Life does not end here, going out maybe you will find better than what you are now having. I believed what is important is, one is happy in all he does, and to be happy is to have that strong faith in GOD. Do you know the song "Ang Mga Langgam?" The song goes like this:

Good day! I have not written something on my blog for days, becuae out net was disconnected, I was not able to pay the bills, so sorry friend, but here again because I miss you already. On the other hand, in the national broadheets of today, I like to read one of the head lines "Ex-led Zeppelin singer cops 5 Grammy Awards" where in Zeppelin singer Robert Plant is a recepient of "whole lot love" at the Grammy Awards winnig five prizes. I like to see people specially receiving awards of thier talents, a GOD given. An unforgettable experience in a health Spa

Dear Friend:
Sometime in 2003, I had that unforgettable experience in a health spa, because that was my first time. My friend invited me to join with him in a spa for relaxation, he said, pare, sama tayo pamasahi (Massage) dyan sa malapit. So because I could not refuse my friend and out of eagerness, I joined with him. Upon reaching the spa place, beautiful attendants met us and convience us to avail spa/services they offered. Whole body, hand, foot spa, etc. Because that was our purpose, we went to the counter and pay the corresponding fee, I dont know how much, so were given a receipt, and directed to a small room, we were asked to remove our clothes and we were given towels, our clothes were place inside a locker. the lady attendant guided us to another room, very warm room, we wore brief/ or short pants, it was very hot that we sweat and sweat. We just seat there and waited for our sweats to go out of the body, as if all our body fluids drain. We stayed in the room for almost an hour until I said "hindi ko na kaya pare" and then we took a bath in the bathroom in another room. I felt very refreshing, and relaxing. After some minutes, we proceeded to another room, the massage parlor. I saw people beeing massage by lady attendants. I asked to be massage, the attendant asked me, oil, powder, or rubbing alcohol etc., I told her alcohol. She asked me to laydown in bed and she started to massage me, wow my bones were cracking, breaking, very nice that I almost fell a sleep, I asked her, is this health spa? She replied, this is one of the services they offered as a heath spa. Wala akong alam sa ganoon. We paid again after the massage, and we went home. " Wow pare first time ko" and that was also the last. Hindi na ako naka pasok again. that was my unforgettable experience in health spa. Friend, until then, my friend invited me now to join with him in spa, so I'll cut short my story, because this is my second time to be in a spa. bye, bye. . . .

Last week, I posted in this blog regarding a child named Carmel who met an accident 9 years ago, and how the accident changed the life of a child. She is supposed to be a lady by this time but unluckily not. I made some surfing in the net and I came across this school, "The St. Augustine School of Medical Assistants". Bigger possibilities of earning education or a Certificate of Health Care Career without going to school, or entering school campus, meeting your professor thru the net. This encourage me to write the good idea offered by St. Augustine School of Medical Assistants into my blog considering my age and work ( 5 days a week, 8 hours a day at the office) Enrolling this program would help me realize my dream of helping people in sick bed old and young alike, to my fellow filipinos specially the child Carmel, who I believe is really in dire need of help. All I need is a computer and an internet server and enroll at this school. I was also informed that St. Augustine School has also an on-line libraries which I can make research. You retrieve and answer assignments thru the net any where at your convenient time. You can also make chika to your professsor for any problem. I like the program and maybe I can also encourage my children to avail of the opportunity offered by the school. This program is like the ALS of the Government - DepED maybe.
Friend, there are many opportunities to help our fellow but some do not take time to share what they have that could help. Many are suffering from the pain, realizing that of being abandoned specially in times of crisis. What I can say friend today, is we have to seek GOD in our midst. Extending our hand to others, so that the abandoned would see the presence of GOD in us.

Buying ukay-ukay is OK

Dear Friend:
This afternoon, while i am about to bet the lotto, i came across an ukay-ukay store, this ukay-ukay, in the Philippines is second hand clothes, shoes, anything second hand but still good. Ukay-ukay is sold at bargain prices yet these are imported products. Shortpants like maong, khaki, is sold at P20.00 to P30.00, bed covers family size at P180 to 400.00 depending on the aged and appearance and textures. Many are interested to buy ukay-ukay because these are still good. I saw also ukay-ukay appliances like TVs, stereo cassettes, washing machines, refs, etc. To tell you my TV set at home is ukay-ukay. I bought it at P1,800 yet, if it is brand new it cost P15,000.00. So, I made an ukay-ukay (select) and was able to select 3 shorts for P75.00, these are still good, they store watch ask me to have them wash before using as these are dusty and unwashed. During my ukay-ukay, here is a lady who entertained me named Riza, she is maculit that she was able to convince me to buy the 3 shorts, so I bought the 3 shorts. we talk and talk until it rains that I was not able to bet the lotto, and also brown out here, no on-line lotto outlet. This saleslady, her name was Riza, asked me to buy a bed cover, I like the bed cover it cost P180.00, I made some tawad if it is OK at P100.00 yet she refused, so sorry hindi ko na buy ang bed sheets. I went home and proud to show my ukay-ukay shorts to my friends. What am I saying is, for me it is OK to buy ukay-ukay specially if konte lang pera-money. Sayang I missed the lotto tonite, but its OK, next time na lang.
By the way friends, Thank You for your prayers for little girl Carmel, I know God is good and will help Carmel recover early. Me still not able to buy the celfone that I promised to her, wait lang muna sya. till next . . . hear from you friends.. . . Thank you again. . .

Last week, a friend teacher went to the me sharing his problem with a government agency in particular with his housing loan. He has 3 months unremitted loan repayments per record, which was penalty totalling more than P30,000.00. He remembered that his payroll was continously deducted with his monthly repayments. The unremitted amount happened in 1996, and he was billed today, the bookkeeper remembered that the amount was remitted to the concerned government agency. He consulted many friends in the accounting section, but cannot give the best advice about it/ and documents for reasons that transactions happened long time ago. I advised him to see the Office of the Auditor regarding that financial records, because the Auditor may have the file. He followed my advised, and he came back happy because he was able to get the documents he need. The Auditor is very helpful. He would like to say "Thank You" to the Auditor. He is grateful to the Auditors help, he said. My advised was right. My friend, I was able to help in my little way, and made him happy. Today is Monday, I did not report for work,because am not feelling well early in the morning. However, after taking medicine, i felt fine, so I did some relaxing at home. Around 9:00am I felt ok so I did some home work, like repairing the bed room and bath room. After that, my friend did a visit, so i invited him to a drink. We took wine. she said of a bottle of beer, but I refused because of the doctors advice to do away with beer in the meantime. We took brandy, now while writing this blog, am still drunk, but cant help but to be with you. Sorry friends. . .

Joan my daughter has good grades

Today, Sunday the grades of my daughter Joan was released, her mother took time in attending the meeting to get the report cards. It is very interesting, she has good grades. No grade below 85, am very proud of her. I promised if she will be one of the honor students, I will buy her Ice Cream and cake. Joan also is a good cook, she cooks better than me, I like her style. I hope Joan will be someday a chef.

Today is Friday, and tomorrow is Saturday, means no office work. I will spend my week end with family, or visit the doctor, i havent read yet the result of my medical exams, I hope its OK. I also have to oversee the repair/construction of my small house which started last new year. We also have been planning to go the beach with my kids and in-laws, I hope tuloy na this time. Child needs help

Hello! Thank you for reading my blog, I appreciate it very much. Early today I realized that after we had a get together party last christmas, this little child named CARMEL needs prayer and help. She was a victim of car accident when she was 8 years old while going to school. Please allow me to share her story:
"Carmel was going to school that early morning, while walking along the side of the road she was accidentally hit by a speeding car, she was unconcious. She was rushed to the hospital by an ambulance with her parents. Unluckily, the ambulance met also an accident, it bump to a running single motorcycle with two passenger. The motorcycle passenger was instantly killed. The ambulance turned turtle, all the passenger were hurt, suffered broken bones and bruises, but none was killed. A passing truck made a rescue until they reach the hospital. Urgent /fast medications actions were applied to them. Carmel suffered so much because of that double injury. She was unconcious for almost a month in the hospital. All the parents savings were used for medication. Because of that accident, Carmel suffered a head injury that affected her brain, according to the doctor, it needs time to recover. The father is laborer/tricycle driver.

Now CARMEL is 15 years old, her attitude or self is of a 6 years old child. She cannot talk well, she eats so much, she plays so much with other children. I almost cried when she asked me for a christmas gift a "celfone" she gets envy to other children who have celfone as a toy. I will try to give her that celfone. I believed giving what she needs would help her for her past recovery. I am asking your kind heart to share your time in "PRAYER". Thank you so much

getting to know your doctor, the better

The other day, I posted in this blog that I have to see the doctor to have that executive check-up. The doctor asked me why I have to undergo that test, I just told him that that was my plan considering my age and she said that is a good idea. So, the doctor administer the first session, the heart examination, they called 2-d-echo, an instrument connected to a computer being pasted in my skin and the a thing being rolled to my breast near to my heart, and the pumping of my heart is seen in the monitor, and thats it, they make recording analysis. I asked them, am I ok? Am not so familiar with the terminology that the doctors are saying. Then I proceeded to the ECG room, again a doctor had to use a computer, paste or clip something in my body, one near my heart and then after some checking , then thats it, she said your OK. She told me to come back the next day early with the instruction not to eat/drink anything from 12 midnight until the examination is finished.

The following day, at 6:00am I arrived at the clininc, I was thinking that I am the first client that day, but no, I am No. 50 patient, after some waiting hours, I was examined by the doctor using that USD/ultra sound, the doctor examined my stomach, gallbladder, kidney, etc. you can see the inside of your stomach in the monitor. The examination lasted around 30 minutes, then the doctor said finished. Then, I was told to wait for sometime for blood examination. Then, the painful time came. Blood was taken from my arm, I am not used to it, it hurts, but is ok. This time i was very hungry na. After the blood extraction, I was able to eat my breakfast. That was the last examination I undergone. Today, my wife will pick-up the result and will have it read/analyse by a doctor. I have to see my doctor. But I didnt have a doctor yet, getting to know your doctor, the better. Next time I will post the result of my examinations, thank you see you/hear you soon. This is my celfone, 09204735133

going to a clinic for medical check-up

This morning I went to a clinic to have my executive check-up which have been scheduled in 2008 but failed to see a doctor. The Clinic was also having a holidays since December 25 to January 2, 2008. I have been advised by the school nurse to see a doctor because of my consistent 90/130 blood pressure. So the plan materialized this morning. I did have ECG, heart check-up etc. and tomorrow early will be another type of examinations. I hope all will be fine. I will post again the result tomorrow for your info dear reader. thank you.

spending my christmas vacation

People think that once it is a christmas holiday, one should spent his time with family, friends, relatives or traveling outside his city or home. But for me I spent it at home, I did some home repairing like the electricals, lavatories, sinks, preventing the attack of termites, etc. I did also some personal repairing with my in-laws also who has been looking for me for quite some time. I gave them pasalobong christmas gifts to make them happy. On the 25th, I went to my little farm alone to make some reflections, and to realize that life is so short and fast moving, that I almost forgot that Im already 50 yrs., old. I beleive I have to do it again this new year.

Today December 24, is a busy day for me, being a father of a family of 7 children i need to prepare for the noche buena. First, we have to attend the early mass at 9:00pm in our church. We have decided to have a simply Christmas celeb due to financial problem. Although I just received my P10 tau additional bonus, I have to set aside for the New Year and the coming opening of classes. Christmas party

Our Christmas party will be on December 19, 2008. It will be held in one of our office mates' house. We will bring our best self, food, drinks etc. Some said they will bring wine, red wine, and dance instructors to teach us how to dance that chacha, tango, etc. I was ask to bring singalong CDs for videoke.
